*Smudge sticks and sweetgrass braids are traditionally used to bless and purify your home, work place and loved ones. The People are "smudged" before participating in sacred ceremonies. Houses and areas that just don't feel "right" are smudged to clear, purify and restore balance. The stick or braid is lit and the smoke is distributed by "fanning", or a waving motion, to encompass the area or cover the person. Often a prayer or blessing accompanies the smudging process.

*Our Sweetgrass Braids are made from sweetgrass collected from the Plains states. They vary from approximately 10" to 14" in length. They have a very distinct, sweet aroma and are braided in the traditional way.
